Advantages: Decent enough in places; Theron's wardrobe! Disadvantages: No oomph at all; more like an episode of a TV series than a film
I've been putting off watching Aeon Flux for a while, although I'm not too sure why. It probably had something to do with the negative feedback it gained after promising so much. Adapted from a sci-fi series in the early 1990s and starring Charlize Theron, who is usually on fire on screen, I was surprised when it got slated, but last night, with the wife round at a friend's house and son William tucked up in bed, I thought I'd give it a go.
The plot is far fetched, but then it's sci-fi fantasy. In the year 2011, a virus kills 99% of the World's population. Dr Goodchild creates a vaccine, and takes the remaining 5 million inhabitants to a safe location to try and reconstruct humanity. 400 years later, the Goodchilds have continued to run the government and improve things, but now there is a small gang of fighters known as the Monicans ...

Advantages: Price or is it Disadvantages: Everything else
A company's service levels and customer care can only be established when problems are encountered and this is where this company falls far short. If you google the company all the good reviews just say they are good as they are cheap but look at reviews where claims are made or problems have to be resolved anf the feedback seems to be on the majority negative.
Adrian Flux are good on price - however this is a false econmy. The customer service levels are far below what is required by the FSA. They have many hidden charges and if these are query or disputed cover is withdrawn with a very short notice period and if a full premium is paid large chunk is retained. I have used this company for the past four years however upto now it has just been get a quote and pay a premium.
Now I have encoutered a major problem with regarding ...
What the flux went on here?
When i went to the cinema to watch this, i was quite excited. Charlize Theron for a start, doing acrobatics in a tight leather outfit, a futuristic fantasy utopia with a disenchanted leader (Trevor Goodchild). Yes it sounds much the same as many other films in the genre, but they are generally ok aswell.
From the start i could feel that it wasn't going to be the best film i had seen all year, not by a long shot.
The story follows Aeon Flux, a member of a rebel group named the 'Monicans' in the city of 'Bregna'. Her sister is kidnapped and killed by the ruling factor of Earth's last remaining city. This is not an uncommon occurence and happens regularlt around the city. Aeon and the rest of the rebels are trying to stop this.
Aeon is commanded by her leader to assassinate the leader of the city ...
