Gillan's Inn & at the bar
Review of Gillan's Inn [DualDisc] - Ian Gillan by  NomisG

Advantages: Jeff Healey (RIP) and Jon Lord
Disadvantages: Steve Morse, et al. See above.

...First of all, what is 'dual disc'? Well its a double-sided disc with a CD on one side and a DVD on the other. Neat. Except some players cannot play it. Its slightly thicker than either a standard DVD or CD so if you have slot-in loading system rather than the more traditional slide-out tray you could be out of luck trying to play a dual disc. Be careful. OK. Gillan's Inn. Well, I saw Gillan at a very small venue (Healey's in Toronto) while he was recording this album. We were about 6 feet from the stage and he was nothing short of exceptional. His voice range and power undiminshed by the ravages of time so I had high hopes for this album. The album is basically a collection of Ian's favourite songs from down the years re-recorded with some of his mates. (I'm not going to put a track list/personel list up - its on Amazon etc... Gubbins came out to Montreux
Review of The Autobiography of Deep Purple - Ian Gillan by  Vodkaboy

Advantages: Easy to read, some nice insights
Disadvantages: Leaves as much unsaid as said

...Deep Purple were one of the most influential rock bands of the 70s; although most fans would say it is not one of their favourite songs, "Smoke on the Water" is, possibly, the most recogniseable riff of the last 40 years, featuring Ritchie Blackmore on guitar, Jon Lord on keyboards, Roger Glover on bass, Ian Paice on drums and, on vocals, the subject of this autobography: Gubbins!! I've been a fan of Deep Purple for a long time, in particular the incarnations with Ian Gillan on vocals. After he left Deep Purple and went on to put together The Ian Gillan Band, subsequently known just as Gillan, I liked several of the albums that he produced. When Deep Purple reformed, with him handling vocal duties, it was an absolute thrill seeing their UK comeback gig at Knebworth (which was recorded and released as a live album) and of course... Play the Game and Train your Brain
Review of Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain? by  kelassa

Advantages: Keeps track of how you are doing
Disadvantages: Could get boring after a couple of weeks

...to improve your performance. Your ultimate goal is to reach the youngest brain age possible. The best age for your brain to be is 20. GETTING STARTED: The game allows you to input your details, ie your name, age etc. This means that each time you go to play the game the information will be saved and you can monitor your progress. The first thing you are asked to do is take the brain age test. The chances are on your first go your brain age will be quite high. This seems to be the case for everyone I know who has done this. Its nothing to worry about, you can soon get your brain in shape. So how does it test your brain? Well it will test you using three different exercises. It will ask if you are able to read out loud. This is good because you may be on a train or somewhere very noisy. If you can, then 1 of the exercises will... Read review
