Take Me Away This song starts off with light, acoustic sounding guitar for the verse then coming into the chorus turns into a louder power ballad sound with more of high pitched lyrics and heavier guitar to create a more powerful sound to create a more precise meaning in a more powerful way. This song seems to be about a relationship which ended and Avril is confused and hurt by the split up and basically she wants everything to go back to the way it was and get the guy to come back and as the title suggests 'Take her... Advantages: A round up of some of the Pumpkins' best songs from the last 12 years
Disadvantages: The final Pumpkins' release :(

...Pumpkins release was titled 'Machina / The Machines Of God' and was a real return to the metal sound people expected from them. 'The Everlasting Gaze' is the first example of this on 'Rotten Apples' which consists of many thundering riffs. Over these riffs Billy Corgan sings 'The fickle fascination of an everlasting God' before adding 'You know I'm not dead'. Could Billy himself be suggesting he is God? 'The Everlasting Gaze' is followed by another Pumpkins classic. 'Stand Inside Your Love' is the most touching thing they have released since 'Disarm' way back in the 'Siamese Dream' days. It is simply a straight-forward love song lyrically written in a sublime way when you can only know the feeling of having someone so high on a pedestal. The music compliments these words perfectly.
