...Though The Legendary Luther Vandross has suffered from a stroke on April 16, 2003 ( a little over year ago), he is sadly missed in the music industry by many, myself included. Recently at the 2004 Grammy Awards Vandross swept up four out of five awards, including Song of the Year. He was unable to attend but did have a video message thanking all of his fans for their support during his recovery. This is just a reminder what a great artist Luther Vandross is and always will be. The album Luther Vandross- Greatest Hits is one of the best albums from the artist because it puts some of his truly best works on one CD. The sound of his strong voice along with the beat of the music, allows for a truly enjoyable listen. It has a jazz/pop theme, and the duets he sings with Dionne Warwick and Gregory Hines add to the talent of the album... Read review

...There is nothing quite like Luther Vandross, his songs are romantic and breath taking. On this greatest hits album there are a total of 16 songs, a couple are skippable, but as I said before - there's nothing quite like Luther! It has the hit song with Janet Jackson 'The Best Things in Life are Free', which is very true, and it's also a great song. Other great songs include: *Never Too Much *Sugar and Spice *Stop to love *I really didn't mean it *Love the one you're with *Any Love *Power of Love Plus a few others. ...A stunning song, his lyrics really did tug at my heart strings. His vocals and lyrics blew me away the first time i heard this track. IT tends to help us go back into the past and remember the relationships we had, the feelings and emotions we shared. In most cases, i am sure that this song will draw out a few tears, such is the power of the words of this song. With all this in mind, the value for money on this CD is great and to be a part of Luther Vandross' magic for such a small price, I think that is amazing. Luther Vandross is blessed with talent and ability and he demonstrates this in his vocals on this track. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who is into any kind of music as I am sure his vocals will affect you and the way you live your life.... Read review
