James Morrison is an english artist with sensational ability, this is his first album - undiscovered, and after hearing it, i cant wait to hear his next one. The album was mostly produced by Martin Terefe who also produced the likes of KT Tunstall. James Morrison co wrote all of the songs on the album with his band members.
This album was top of all charts, including top of the itunes download chart. At aged 21 there is plenty more to come from this young man. The album won James the best male solo artist at the brit awards earlier this year.
The album contains 13 songs, the titles and what each song is about are as follows :
1.: Under The Influence- A very catchy song about how a girl has him under her influence.
2.: You Give Me Something - a fantastic song, his first song he released and it was a great success, a love song about a girl who 'gives him something', this song is special to me as it is my girlfriend and my love song :D This is my favourite
3.: Wonderful World - James has also released this song, a great song about things arent going great for him at the moment but he knows its a wonderful world really. i really really like this song
4.: Pieces Don't Fit Anymore - A quite sad song about breaking up wid his girlfriend because the pieces dont fit anymore, this is a fantastic song, also been released, one of my favourites.
5.: One Last Chance - This has got to be one of the best in my opinion, a loud bass feel to this song, its about him saying he has one last chance to get his life together.
6.: Undiscovered - This has just been released last week and is proving to be a great success climbing up the charts, one of the most upbeat on the album and is my 2nd favourite, the chorus says, 'am not lost, just undiscovered' which i think is a great line.
7.: Letter - This is about a letter which he doesnt want to open because he has an idea of what it is already about, great upbeat song.
8.: Call The Police - Not my favourite but is still a very good lively song.
9.: This Boy - What a great song, its quite a sad song lyrically but quite upbeat, about a boy is scared of his emotions and has ahd a bad past. Love this song.
10.: If The Rain Must Fall - A song saying that all he needs a specific girls love. good song, not great but still very good.
11.: How Come - Just asks questions to his girlfriend because the 'situation is spinning him round', he doesnt know where the relationship is leading.
12.: Last Goodbye - This song is exactly what the title says, a song about saying goodbye for the last time.
13.: Better Man - This song he mentions that he is a better man when he is with a certain girl in his life. Great song, love songs are always great by this man.
I absolutely adore this man as you can probably tell, me and my girlfriend have been to seen him 3 times now, we went 2 days ago to see him in the manchester apollo and everytime he gets better and better, i think its amazing the way he sounds exactly the same live as he does on the album. I cant wait for his next album and i think he has massive potential to maybe even challenge america. Good Luck
I purchased this album for £8.99 a couple of months ago from HMV, the price is still around that same value at all the major retail stores such Virgin and HMV. Although the album can be purchased for as little as £4.24 on the internet, from web businesses, for example, Amazon.co.uk.

Can't stand the new single...for me soundslike a cross between Elton John and Chris De Burgh...however, Pieces Don't Fit is a quality track of Van Morrison style and magnitude. A decent first review.
