Unleash The Dragon [ECD] - Sisqo

Advantages: Fantastic Lyrics and Ja Rule features!
Disadvantages: A couple of the songs were way too average

This 13 track album was Sisqos first solo offering. I've had it for years, and also have the rather predictably named second album "Return of the Dragon". I love them both. The first track, 'Unleash the Dragon', is one of my favourite on the album. It starts quietly, then the drums enter and Sisqo's voice enters with "Here I come, niggas hold me back,". This tune is catchy and bouncy. Real top quality R n B. It's the type of track that has you singing ...
...also features Beanie Sigel, a decent rapper, who has a 30 second role to play in the middle of the song. Number 2, 'Got to Get it', is, in my opinion, nothing special. Loads of people I know have raved about it though, so maybe it's just my taste. This track features Make it Hot (I've never heard of them if I'm honest). After years of singing, performing and living with his group, and best friends, Dru Hill,Sisqo finally went solo and released his first album "Unleash The Dragon". The first two released songs, "Got To Get It" and "Thong Song" give the impression that this album is full of fast RnB tracks. ...The first song starts the album on a fast note with the title track "Unleash The Dragon". With a fast beat this is one to dance to. However an appearence from a poor excuse for a rapper brings down the track. Catchy hook though. "Got To Get It" is that dirty song that Sisqo released. You thought Thong Song was dirty? Check out the uncut version on the album for innuendo galore. Oh and yeah, it's a great song. The next track slows down the pace. ... Read review

...impressed by sisqo's new(ish) album, Unleash the Dragon. All of the singles from it; Thong Song, Unleash the Dragon and Got to Get it are all lively and are quite good. However, the rest of the album is all slow and soppy songs telling us how great he is and all the girls he gets - which are probably all lies as no-one gets girls with hair like that. ...groove to it and certainly, unleash the dragon (the single) did not dissapoint. as a result, i didn't need much more persuading to go and get the album for myself, expecting a vibrant collection of wicked tunes which (like the three named above) really get you off your arse and moving. sadly, it was not to be. obviously, i had only heard of these three tunes for a good reason: their the only ones that really stand out in the entire album - the rest ...
...displayed previously. sure, every good album of this kind has one or two slower tunes that you can mellow out to, but this one really took the biscuit!
