If there is one album you should buy this Christmas it is Nirvana unplugged. Although a few years old now it is as fresh as the day it was released. The songs loose nothing for being acoustic and most gain. This album shows the depth behind Nirvanas music and those that scoff at their load thrashy songs such as smells like teen spirit will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of the music. The addition of stings adds a new level and the covers on the album (there are five in all) are will chosen and are played as covers should be i.e. they add something new to the songs. It is an album that spans across many music tastes and most will find something they like here.
