This album is an insight into what Nirvana and mainly Kurt Cobain where influenced by. It contains unbelievable covers of David Bowie songs and Leadbelly's (the Jazz Musician) "Where did you sleep Last night?". The whole album is done acoustically and Nirvana classics are played like never before. The meat Puppets make a special appearance on a cuple of songs and the humour between band members is amazing. Songs like "plateua" and "Lake of fire" add a special touch to this Nirvana album making it different from the rest. Even the most heavy listening fan would appreciate this album as it is all played with emotion. The bass is very well used and the drums do not drown out the textured playing of the guitar. A calssic album that is a must yet again for the Nirvana fan.
