Advantages: Strong flavour and a lovely buttermilk colour. Disadvantages: None although of course cheese is full of cholesterol.
I rather like a nice chunk of strong cheddar and often go for Canadian as these rich cheeses are lovely with chutney and crackers. However recently I noticed a new cheese in Waitrose which is also available through the online delivery company Ocado called Cornish Quartz. There is something about the name which really appealed to me, so I purchased a small piece first to see if I liked it.
Waitrose have done the correct thing here, I feel, which is to sell the cheese in three sizes. At the moment Ocado have a half price offer selling the smallest piece for £1.34 for 100g, and the largest is £1.97 for 350g so it is an excellent time to see if you like it.

Advantages: Great flavour, easy to cook Disadvantages: Hard to find the cooking instructions
I came across Ginsters Cornish Pasties about 2 years ago, after a holiday in Cornwall. I thought that maybe they would taste as good as the real thing, as they are made in Callington! Well read on and find out what I think.
Ginsters Cornish Pasties come in a black packet with a red label on the front saying ?Ginsters Cornish through and through? in white. There is a picture of a cut pasty on the bottom right corner showing you the filling, and a description saying ?fresh beef with potato, onion and swede wrapped in a light puff pastry case?. Inside the packet is a cardboard sleeve used to protect the pasty. Each pasty is a semi-circle made from a 6-inch diameter circle, and a good inch thick, with an attractive closing plat in the pastry along the curved edge.
The pasties are available from the chiller section at most ...
Advantages: Free tasting, good prices, wide selction of products Disadvantages: The elderflower wine is yucky!
I have been to this farm several times now (I think about 6) and have loved every visit. The first time I went I was only 16 and could not try the free samples and was a little bored. I was at that age where the tractor ride was not impressive, the tour was boring and the shop was out of bounds. I do think however that this would be a great place for adults and children alike. If you are planning to visit Cornwall this month try the Cornish Cyder Farm (formerly Callestock Cider Farm).
I hope I have covered everything in this review.
***HISTORY***
The farm is about 150 years old and the buildings reflect this age. The farm is the largest Cider maker throughout Cornwall. The products can be found in every tourist shop in Cornwall from Lands End to Plymouth so living here there is little requirement for a visit to the farm - but it ...
