This is one of the mysteries of the universe - why are The Fall not one of the most popular bands on this planet - I love them and they make wonderful music. The Unutterable is the LOOOOOOONG awaited new CD, it's been almost a couple of years since their last offering and is now finally sprung on an unsuspecting world.
Even as a confessed Fall addict, I have to say that this is a fine piece of work, far better than we've any right to expect from a band that have been going nearly 25 years (without selling out once, incredible!)
The CD is a delight, classic Fall stuff from start to finish with some mega stuff on there - totally gripping and fresh - it could be the work of a new band just starting out, such is the enthusiasm. The new line up which was fairst aired on The Marshall Suite certainly kicks and Mr Smith is in fine voice.
