Disadvantages: Lack of detail - when are they showing ?

Channel five has little to offer in terms of competition with the other 4 main channels. Five updates along with the regular film slots could be a little more. WHAT ARE THEY? UPDATES are short broadcasts offering a quick review of the major news items from around the day. These might be addressed during the major news slots of the day (12.00 and 17.00) or week - some indication is given during the update. The broadcasts are often less than 5 minutes. FORMAT Often a toolbar appears at the base of the screen - these offer written text on a scroll bar giving some indication of the items being outlined above with statistics. And some items not being mentioned verbally (normally those for review on the major news broadcasts later).
