Advantages: Great fun, a classic worth experiencing Disadvantages: Needs maintenance, not easy to use as a daily driver
I thought I'd write a review for all those VW fans out there who are thinking of buying their own classic vwbeetle 1300.
i bought my 1300 1966 bug (Ermintrude) 2 years ago, after looking for a year I found my perfect beetle. She was sea blue with a cream leather interior and restored.
I have since had to sell my baby for financial reasons, but her purchase was something that I will never regret. They may not be fast or 100%reliable but the joy and fun of driving it is unbeatable.
I wouldn't recommend a classic volkswagen to someone who doesn't know or good mechanic or works on cars themselves as they do need constant maintenance, but parts are good value and readily available. I defied everyone who said you couldnt run a vwbeetle as an everyday car, I frequently drove 200 mile journeys and she ran like a dream at 70mph. It ...

im in LOVE with this car everytime i drive it i have fun and im smilling.
the very lond dashboard makes it feel like you have a millions miles ahead before your near the car infront as the bonnet glides downwards.
the red leather seats are a tough but soft leather and the heated seats make them the most comfortable car to drive.
there is two different types in this ltd edition car the silver car with the red roof and matching interior and mine whch is a black car with red roof and red leather interior to match, but not just the chairs there is leather everywhere doors headrests etc.
its is a beautiful combination of style with safety.
its very easy to drive but isnt very fast its so heavy which makes it sluggish , but in my opinion who needs to go fast when your car looks that good.

Advantages: Excellent field of view, great in bad weather, comfy, easy to drive. Disadvantages: Getting in and out for less able or elderly, short on luggage space when using all 7 seats.
to North of Inverness and encountered some wicked snow on the way. The Dissy just breezed through it, leaving others in our wake. Our two previous vehicles were both Galaxy's, which also had an elevated driving position, but the Dissy gives a far superior all round viewing position and doesn't get stuck in the mud when towing a caravan! With 3 young children to drive around the Dissy copes great ion the long journeys to grandparents and far flung caravan sights. During last years floods we towed our caravan through some raging torrents along Scotland's West coast, past enormous queues of cars who couldn't get through the water, including several similar types of vehicles that weren't quite up to it.
