This New York City band provides an interesting blend of indie-rock and afro-pop in their debut album. The music is fresh and clean; and quite frankly a lot fun. Such songs like Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa, Campus, and A-Punk help bring back feel good memories of your days as a student or late night beach parties of the summer. You can't resist listening to this album loud and singing aloud to some of the bizarre yet simple lyrics. As a musical act, Vampire Weekend perform a brilliantly honest show which is only reflected in their album. The album is of high quality from start to finish and is definitely worth purchasing. Overall I would highly recommend Vampire Weekends' debut as one of this years' finest indie-rock albums.
