The album is definetly Van Halen's greatest. It features the awesome air guitar worthy solo 'Eruption', with amazing guitar work featuring techniques such as tapping, dive bombing and harmonics. The guitar tone is amazing. In addittion to the outstanding contributions from Eddie Van Halen (guitarist), theres some top tunes on this album. Notably tracks such as 'Atomic Punk, Ain't Talkin' Bout Love' and 'Runnin' With The Devil'. Van Halen successfully mix heavy metal with laid back american 50's blues (check out their cover of 'Ice Cream Man'), and do a great cover of the Kinks' song 'You Really Got Me', complete with an awesome Eddie Van Halen guitar solo. This is personally my favourite album, It can never really be matched. If you dont buy it, it really is your loss.
