PLOT: V For Vendetta is a 2005 film adaption of the graphic novel of the same name by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. Set in 2034, the film focuses on Britain which has become a totalitarian dictatorship under the control of the Norsefire regime. Evey Hammond, a somewhat naïve employee of the British Television Network (BTN), runs into trouble when she is out past curfew and runs into some Finger men who are a sort of secret police for Norsefire. Advantages: Thought provoking film. Disadvantages: Slows down in the middle part.

Today I have was given my Easter present from my beloved, knowing that I have a slight passion for these types of film she bought me the 2 disc set of V for Vendetta on DVD. Now this was not a film that I saw when released at the cinema at all as I didn't think that it would interest me. ...Set in a dystopian future Britain where a totalitarian dictatorship rules the plot follows masked antihero V on his path of vengeance and his quest to enlighten the ordinary citizen on the evils of their tyrannical government that they have let slip into power.
Evey Hammond (Natalie Portman), an assistant at the British Telecom Network and whose parents were political activists is saved by V from the secret police and becomes reluctantly entangled in V's pursuit.
Having never read the comic books, or in fact ever having heard of V For Vendetta until this film, it was entirely new territory for me and I was absolutely blown away.
