Wow. This is definately an album for the summer, with its funky jazz sound and upbeat tempo this album shouldn't be missed by anyone. Song's you think shouldn't be remade you are soon proved wrong and you will have a different favourite each week. With an eclectic mix of guest artists from Lilly Allen to Robbie Williams and a diverse choice of songs that you wouldn't expect to see on the same album as each other, you don't know quite what to expect but expect brilliance because that is what this album is.
Amy Winehouse's version of the Zuton's Valerie is outstanding. I loved the original (and still do) but as big a Zuton fan as I am I think Amy's version is just that little bit better, her voice fits the song perfectly and the womens voice is so pretty yet so dirty at the same time, she will definately go far. If you thought Valerie was good before wait until you here this version.
Track 13 LSF by Kasabian featuring Kasabian is another outstanding song, it has a real Happy Mondays feel about it and you can almost picture Bez dancing around on stage.
Lilly Allen (who I am not the biggest fan of) sings Kaiser Cheifs 'oh my god' (again a band I am not that keen on) so you can imagine that I wasn't expecting big things from this song but I was definately proved wrong. Her voice fits this song perfectly and no one else could quite do it the same, this just proves Mark's genious when it comes to track and artist choices. This is one of my favourites on the album, it has toned down the original giving it a more pleasent calming feel but with just as much edge as before. Touche Mark.
The last one I will mention is track 8 'Pretty Green's' the reason I mention this is because had I have wrote this review 4 weeks ago when I got it I probably would have classed this as one of the weaker ones on the album but it is simply not true. It is very different than the rest on the album with a more basey beat to it, which may be why it sticks out a little but give it a chance and you too will hopefully be dancing around like a fool to it.
All the songs on the album are great, it is definately one of thos ones that you can just press play and let it be which is not always easy to find.
You just really need to give this album a chance, don't judge it by who the guest artists are and what they are singing because any previous opinions of them simply don't apply., whether you like them or hate them. This is not a compilation album of various artists, it is a Mark Ronson album.

A good start, but it needs a bit more info to satisfy the picky Ciaoers rating it. A bit more info about what songs and what style can be found on the album would be helpful etc. Have a look around at some other reviews to get a feel of what is expected and let me know if you need a hand with anything
