Ok, I must admit, I was sold by the label on this one. Usually i buy music on either recommendation from friends or my own tastes. However for this one i decided as it was one if the "Euphoric" releases, i would give it a bash without even seeing what songs were on there ! (dangerous, i know) Imagine my surprise when i was presented with tracks such as the Black Legend "Trouble with me" one of my favourites, the song that starts with a finish (you'll see what i mean) , this in itself is not fair, because i tend to buy anything with this track on and rate it highly.
The set has two CD's, CD1 has some new tracks "Out of Touch" a bouncy number, a little chartish and cheesy but great to listen to as a first song on a CD, after this were off to "Call on me" territory, "Call on me" was famous by Eric Prydz dancing leotard clad beauties.... who says sex doesnt sell records !. If your in any doubt to this one, its the one that lots of people annoy you with as the ring tone on their mobile phone ! Not a bad tune i suppose but check out the bass it puts out, quite good for testing if you have your stereo surround set right on the Home Entertainment system. Put em High from stonebridge, I see girls from Studio B and Take me to the clouds above from LMC v U2 (U2 once again proving just how extremely versatile their music and ability to create music is). One final word on CD1 , and maybe your best reason to buy this CD is the awesome Stupidisco from Junior Jack. Mixed and Sampled from the Pointer Sisters "Dare Me", excellent !
CD2 kicks off with Professional Widow by Tori Amos, although lacking in a wide range of vocals, this upbeat (almost trancy at sometimes) tune again is great to get you in the mood to go out clubbing or even better still good for driving to at night. The aforementioned Trouble with me, a touch of Bob Marley (always a pleasure to hear, whatever your tastes) and we are soon on to American Dream from Jakatta, Touch me from Rui Da Silva, and moving onto the classics that make House what it is. We arrive mid album on a massively underrated tune. Roger Sanchez's Another Night , yes i know lots of people will say "Underrated?" but i still think it is. My personal opinion is that this is an awesome track that rarely got the reviews it deserved. A reflective track that is made not by its music, but by its poignant pauses between the music. Sing it back (Moloko), Happy People (Static Revenger), The excellent 2 People from Jean Jaques Smoothie , another chill out track , great for most purposes ! and straight after I Luv U Baby (The Original) we move further upbeat and house style to Make the World Go Round from Sandy B (excellent vocals on this one) and finish with Fatboy Slims Praise You. There are lots of other tracks inbetween but i have picked out the ones for special mention.
Those are my favourites, i would suggest you buy this one as it really is worth it and the tracks on it really make it to be The Very Best Euphoric Funky House Breakdown....
The Authors tastes generally edge towards Hardcore (mostly Happy Hardcore) but is happy listening to anything, CD Price is 11.99 GBP from Virgin Online with Postage included although im sure you could probably get it cheaper somewhere else.
Running Time is 151 minutes so you easily get your moneys worth, The label is Ministry of Sound which is an almost guarantee of good quality.
This is a must for the House fanatic or for those looking for something that little extra worth putting their money into.

Not really an album I would buy but a good review. Maureen

Great review, this might be a little too commercial for my tastes. A few good tunes though from Roger Sanchez, i agree with you that it's very underated. Junior Jack is good but im not a huge fan of the way he completely stole from Giorgio Moroder's Chase for one of his tracks. H.xo :0)
