...Faith Hill signed a record deal wih Warner Bros in 1993. Her debut album, Take Me As I Am, reached No 1 on the Billboard Country chart. Faith Hill was an over night success in Nashville, which is very hard to accomplish due to Nashvilles strict rules, but everyone seemed to love Faith and awaited her second album release. It Matters To Me is the follow up to Take Me As I Am. Recent Faith Hill releases show Faith moving from the country/pop sound into country/pop/rock. This album is Faith's last 100% pure country album before she decided to crossover. 1. ..., Faith's voice makes you want to listen. Faith's voice makes it seem like it's actually happening to her. Brilliant. Come Over. The seventh song, and this album is just getting better and better. One of the highlights of the album. I can remember reading other fan's views on this song and they praised it so highly. I'm glad to say that I can do that too. The lyric's of this song is so heartfelt. When you sing along, it makes you feel like your singing it; you're in that position. Lyrics include the line "every time we're together, I feel a special part of me, drawing me closer, closer to you baby" Faith's vocals and ad-libs on this song are fantastic. Very catchy. I think this song is a treasure to the fans. This is Faith at her best. The eighth song on the album, Soon As I get home, was released as a single. This song has the same vibe... Read review

.... As fresh today as it was over 15 years ago. 3. I Want Your Sex Pts 1 & 2 The first single release in the UK, which caused a bit of a backlash due to the mention of the word sex. At a time when HIV was sweeping the globe and so very little was known about the disease, it’s easy to see why this song was seen to be promoting promiscuity: I know we can come together But the question is Will we ever? Not the best song on the album, though easily one of the longest, but with some great lyrics, and a very upbeat song. 4. One More Try One of THE best songs of his career in my opinion. With a gospel feel to it, some spine-chilling lyrics, and a soulful vibe to the song, it stands out as one of the better tracks on this album quite easily.
