This was a big Cream song and is played very well, the vocals have lost none of their punch and Jack Bruce's Bass playing stands out as usual, he is one of the best. 2. Spoonful - written by Willie Dixon. Dixon was a bass player and jack Bruce again brings out a strong bass line with excellent vocals. The guitar solos are outstanding. The drumming is faultless This song is and always will be a Cream classic. With credit to Mr Dixon. 3. Outside Woman Blues - written by Blind Joe Reynolds. This is a song that I've seen Eric use to describe the different styles he plays. ..., is generally considered to be simple, or at the very least backward in some way, so there is no doubt as to his purity. Albert, however, is no fool, just a little naïve, and he is not best pleased at the idea of being paraded up and down as a symbol of virtue, but his mother is won over by the promise of a cash prize of £25. The day arrives, and Sid, the butcher’s boy laces Albert’s lemonade with rum. The Feast passes without incident, but Albert decides to take matters into his own hands that evening, and departs for Ipswich in search of loose women and strong drink. By the following afternoon, he still hasn’t returned home, and the village can only assume he is dead and gone… But this is a comedy of course, so all ends happily! ...'The Royal Albert Hall' bootleg became the most talked about, sought after and significant bootleg in the history of music. So much so that is was effectively legalised and turned into an official release by Columbia and released in a rather wonderful package in 1998. This is one of the most written about and discussed albums to ever be laid down on tape. Personally never had I read and thought so much about an album that I hadn't actually bought. In the past the album and the event it captures has been the sole focus for discussion on such top end television programmes as Newsnight on the BBC. It seems every Bob Dylan fan loves the album, and they hail it as one of the greatest albums ever.
