My daughter was bought one of these as a present and she loves it!
Chubby Chums are exclusive to Tesco. They are a variety of soft toys that are different animals all bright in colour and very cuddly and attractive as they are so chubby. They come in two different sizes- large- 28cm high and small- 10cm high.
The variety of animals include:
* Cow
* Elephant
* Pony
* Giraffe
I haven't seen any others but that doesn't mean to say there aren't any others available or that have been discontinued.

Checkers, or as it is known in the UK, Draughts is a strategy game that is very similiar to chess and that has amazingly been around for a very, very long time. Checkers is somewhat like an art really. In order to be really good at it, one must know the 'tricks of the trade', which can only be acquired by playing the game a lot, and by reading checkers literature too. It is once these tricks are found out, that checkers really becomes a beautiful and amusing game.
A small history lesson
It seems that Checkers could have been played as far back 1600 BC by the Pharoahs in Egypt. There are also references to the game in the Dialogues of Plato and in Homers 'The Odyssey'. However, modern draughts seems to have started in Spain with the publications of Anton Torquemada, as 'recently' as 1547.

Today , the game of Draughts is played on an 8 * 8 checkered board . Early versions also played on 9 * 9 , 10 * 10 and 12 * 12 boards ( the latter is still played with in India , as the main board is used for several games ) .

As the game has progressed , various counties have used different names for the game . 'Morris' is an English game akin to druaghts ; the French called it 'Merelles' , the Spanish 'Marro' ; Italians 'Marella' ; central Europe often called it 'Dam' or 'Dame' as at the time it considered to be Womens Chess .
In America it is known as 'Checkers' , and is played slightly different to European draughts . It was introduced into America as 'Morris' by the English settlers .
