She recorded her first Album on a small label, Goldband at the age of 13 and also appeared at the Grand Ole Oprey in Nashville. She is an accomplished musician, playing Guitar, banjo, autoharp , piano and drums. Also a Grammy winning, Academy Award winner, Country Singer, Songwriter, Composer, Author , actress.

This is a very good album, with many of her best known songs, and also some not so well known.

To know him is to love him ( with Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris) Why'd you come in here looking like that. Romeo ( with Billy Ray Cyrus, Tanya Tucker, Carpenter, Mary Chapin, Kathy Mattea, Pam Tillis). Tennessee homesick blues. Dumb Blonde ( written in 1965 and made 24 in charts) Applejack Old flames can't hold a candle to you.
This is a single disk album released 05/ 03/ 07. It runs for 61.26 mins.
This is an excellent album and has many of her greatest songs, having said that it would be nice to have some new work released. She is a very accomplished songwriter and I am a little surprised that no new songs are available. If you like country music this is a must have. If you are a Dolly Parton fan it is essential for your collection. She has a fantastic voice that is highly suited to country/ blues music.
In Conclusion:
Great songs but would love some new songs. Having said that she is as good as she has always been.
