...(drums). On this C D he covers some old Rhythm and blue songs, he also uses his own tunes. I find that although this Cd is not especially uplifting music it is not depressing either. Van sings his songs with emotion. Some of the emotions are brooding, slightly menacing . He sings of devotion, love. I must have been sitting here for just over an hour listening to Vans voice the haunting tones of the sax. This C D is very bluesy There are 15 tracks on this CD. Van Morrison was born in 1945 .He started his solo career in 1967 recording many albums in America I discovered he is playing in Bournemouth in march. I really would like to see /hear him live. ..."Thursday's" third album "War all the time" is one of their best albums yet, considering the amazing lyrics, instrumental parts and just overall sound. It was released in 2003 and has to be one of the greatest albums released in that year. If you're looking for something completely different from the normal American post-hardcore band, than you've found it with this incredible album. Normally you can name your favourite songs from an album straight away and decide if you like the song at first listen. But not with this album. Every song is different and has a new undiscovered depth that you find the more you listen to it. For the workforce, drowning: This is one of my favourite songs on the album.
