well,i've stuggled long and hard over this review,mostly because i'm a big fan of jackson browne's but not a fan of "best of" collection's.I have always felt that greatest hits complemations,particularly from whom i would term serious artist's,don,t work so well as the indiviual albums that the work is taken from.This double c.d. is definitely a case in point.
Now i bought this record,there i going showing my age,c.d.,because i wanted to hear those ... ...worn and the record deck is hardly used in these days of digital and e tunes,so hearing such classic,s as "fountain of sorrow","late for the sky" and "these days" in clear sharp sound is a treat for me.Some of the later stuff i don,t know as well,and some don,t seem to gel with me yet,perhaps i,ll have to play them somemore,after all Mr Browne's music is not in your face pop and the secound c.d. may yet grow on me.That for me is the biggest issue ...
