If your like me and love your dance music no matter what era it's in then you're going to love this cd created by the ministry of sound. I own alot of ministry of sound cds and each one never leaves me with disappoinment. I think this one is by far the best they have brought out, with songs ranging from Basshunter to Snap your garunteed to have a boogie when your listening to these cds.
I'd say it's good value for money as well no matter where you buy it from as you get 3 cds with 60 great well known songs. This cd is ideal for playing in the car, or when your getting ready for a night out or even if your organising your own house party! ...

I've always been a fan of Power Ballad's and used to often watch the Magic Channel when they had them on for hours and hours so when I opened this for my birthday I was ecstatic. This sort of music takes me back to my childhood and reminds me of times that I spent with my grandparents at there house, as they were obsessed with music and anything in the hit parade as it was called then was purchased on vinyl which now all reside in a huge cabinet at my nan's house.
I think the album title however is a little deceiving "The VeryBest of Power Ballads - The Greatest Driving Anthems ever". Now in my opinion that contradicts itself a little and I think there is a difference between Power Ballads and Driving Anthems. A History of Jazz just has got to be one of the most comprehensive programmes on the history of jazz that I have ever come across.
It is subtitled Bluesland A portrait In American Music. It shows the very heavy Blues influence on the original forms of jazz.
The first section is called: Everybody got the Blues. It starts with a haunting Blues refrain, as the camera look along some railroad tracks to some plaintive blues music. The camera then shows some typical scenes of life in the south of America. A steam train, black people working on the farms and playing and singing the blues.
Then, comes the introduction to the programme, proper, by the host, Keith David, with Albert Murray and Robert Palmer.
