An actress as well as a singer, London played with heavyweights like Gregory Peck and Rock Hudson. London performed her biggest hit, "Cry Me a River", in the Jayne Mansfield film The Girl Can't Help It. The 2-disc The Very Best of Julie London includes "Cry Me a River", plus "Fly Me To The Moon", "My Heart Belongs To Daddy", "Making Whoopee", "Blue Moon" and many more.

While some of her later recordings can suffer from excessive orchestration, London's vocal stylings are always on point, as the wealth of material on this EMI collection proves.n

Advantages: The original cast at the height of their powers Disadvantages: it might be compared to the current west end show
...The world of fantasy flies Mary Poppins into London to find two children and find fun. Each day is lesson for adults and children alike.
All classes of edwardian London contribute to the childrens education
such as learning observance with chimney sweeps. Jumping down
a street pavement painting to view horse racing of a fanciful kind.
This is time of the suffragettes when the childrens' mother plan to
help get women the vote. Each song accompanies an event.
Seeing a lady feeding the birds is an outward expression of kindness
to animals. The childrens' father works in a bank . Money is all
encompassing to his world so when the children get a gift- the
morals of thrift are taught through song.
All things are not permanent but the subject is treated with aplomb....

Advantages: Original London cast music Disadvantages: CD Could get scratched, some songs are long
...This CD gives the whole music from the London production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Aspects of Love".
"Aspects of Love" did not last a long time at London but the music is very moving especially one song called "Love Changes Everything".
This Cd includes all the songs from the musical "Aspects of Love" and would be great to a musical collecter or anyone really.
There are a couple of long songs on this CD that are the full version and can last a long time, also there are a couple of nice songs that are about 3 minutes in length.
But does "Love Change Everything" for you? or do you have high "Aspects of Love"?
If the answer is yes, then this CD is definetly for you!...
