TURN ON YOUR RECEIVER Another rock or pop track which typifies the band's music. HAIR OF THE DOG One of my all time favourites. 'Now your messing with a, now you're messing with a Son of a Bitch' LOVE HURTS A wildly different version of Roy Orbison's classic. Poignant, slow, sultry and yet still screaming. PIECE OF MY HEART Originally recorded by Janis Joplin, and more recently by others, this rock standard stands up well. MORNING DEW This was a recorded pop tune of the 60's, rocked up in this version. ...I am BIG fan of nazareth i love there music there something very distintive about his voice, i saw thema few years ago doing a unplugged gig in ourlocal pub that was great wehn they can pull that off you knaw they can sing and are good yeh they beean around a while but i think some of the old ones are classicals like rainbow stargazer that song still gives me bumps if you have not heard nazareth i suggets you give them a listern everyone will know the song love hurts the only problem i have is deciding wghich of the disc to play first , Disc: 1 1. ...I remember the first time I clapped eyes on Dan McCafferty and Nazareth as if it were yesterday, but actually it was almost thirty years ago. It was on Top of the Pops and the Nazz were performing their debut single (it was, wasn't it?) Bad Bad Boy. It was all vivid close ups of Dan with his frizzy hair with the centre parting and the grimacing teeth and screaming ... I remember how very impressed I was even then. I liked their first few singles and then I got totally hooked by their awesome cover version of Joni Mitchell's This Flight Tonight, absolute bloody magic... I was a committed fan from that day on (well, I loved their singles and bought most of them anyway). Thus, the Greatest Hits album is pretty damn indispensable as far as I'm concerned with both Bad Bad Boy and This Flight Tonight, plus a host of others including... Read review
