Advantages: You get to hear the original Supergroup reformed Disadvantages: The album shows what good music some of us missed played live.
...Eric Clapton is my favourite guitarist not only for his longevity but for the skill in his guitar playing. He with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker reform in 2005 for a series of Concerts initially at the Royal Albert Hall but then going world wide for a tour.
I saw Eric Clapton with Blind Faith at one of the early free concerts in Hyde Park in the late sixties, I think june 1969, as a teenager so was quite upset that I missed the Albert Hall Concerts especially as one fell on my birthday 5th May 2007.
However I first recorded the concert from TV and then was bought the album and DVD the Christmas following it's release. The concert is magical. There are three 60 year old rockers who hadn't played all together in a band for forty years. Playing the songs as the did all those years ago. They play, in my own personal opinion, better than...

Advantages: It has every Maiden classic you can think of! Disadvantages: A few tracks which really shouldn't be on there.
...!
Wrathchild: Even though this track has always been musically genius, I think it really came back to life after Rock In Rio. Maiden has stuck it back into regular slots in their live sets, and theres nothing a crowd likes better is to know a whole chorus which states only one word "Wrathchild!"
Killers: A much faster paced track than most of Maidens material. However this is another track I didnt really think deserved to quite get onto the album. However still filled to the brim with some wicked riffs.
Remember tomorrow: Very slow, very mellow, and unfortunately, very boring. Dont get me wrong, its not bad, but the question is, is it that good to put on a best of album? I do believe that there should be mellow tacks in every heavy metal band, however I dont think Remember tomorrow was the one to put on Best of the beast.

Advantages: excellent music, history recorded, Dylan at war with the audience, unique expirence Disadvantages: addictive, NONE!
...'The Royal Albert Hall' bootleg became the most talked about, sought after and significant bootleg in the history of music. So much so that is was effectively legalised and turned into an official release by Columbia and released in a rather wonderful package in 1998. This is one of the most written about and discussed albums to ever be laid down on tape. Personally never had I read and thought so much about an album that I hadn't actually bought. In the past the album and the event it captures has been the sole focus for discussion on such top end television programmes as Newsnight on the BBC. It seems every Bob Dylan fan loves the album, and they hail it as one of the greatest albums ever. With all this in mind when I finally decided the time had come to actually buy it I ordered it with very high expectations indeed!
Once you have...
