Advantages: Not too big for a quick cuppa Disadvantages: there are no disadvantages with biscuits
There are times though not very often when I just want a smallish chocolate biscuit to have with my coffee, be it for normal consumption or my passion with dunking.
Of course there are many biscuits which could meet this criteria, so I had to expand on my initial set of necessities. Apart from biscuit and chocolate they had although small to be quite substantial.
This expansion theory failed drastically since the choice did not diminish significantly enough. So in the end I simply done what many shoppers do and picked one that looked nice in it's packet.
This packet had purple and white as it's theme and little picture of choccie biscuits with fruit. The words CLUB and fruit appeared quite prominently and there were six in the packet enough for two or three coffees if I restrained myself a little.
Inside the pack as I said ...
Advantages: cheap, good location, friendly staff Disadvantages: minimal kitchen facilities, no big socialising area
Upon a recent visit to Prague, seven friends and I stayed in the Ace hostel. I believe we chose this particular establishment based primarily on price and location.
I've stayed in several hostels in the last year or so, ranging from inner-city youth hostels to mountain huts, and I must say that Ace hostel is nothing whatsoever like anything I've stayed in before.
I am used to hostels operating similar to an actual hotel, with a reception opening right off the main street, and being in quite a big building with lots of rooms, a bar, a left luggage room etc.
Ace hostel was different to this.
The clue to Ace's location was a sign sticking out of the building, as is usual, but then you had to select 'Ace' from a series of doorbells/buzzers to get the outer gate open. Once through this outer gate, you proceed along a tunnel, and up some ...
Looking at the plot description and cast list I was expecting an amazing film from 'Smoking Aces', a film starring Jeremy Piven, Ryan Reynolds, Ben Affleck, Andy Garcia, Ray Liotta and Alicia Keys should be great. This wasn't. It was, unfortunately, far from great.
The idea behind this film is a good one; Buddy 'Aces' Isreal is a Las Vegas magician turned mafia informant who has a million dollar price put on his head by mob boss Primo Sparazza whose instructions dictate that he wants Aces' heart brought to him once he has been killed. This attracts all manner of psychos and hitmen (and women) who all descend upon Las Vegas in order to find Aces and claim their prize. The film never really lives up to its potential and sometimes seems to complex. Some of the plot twists (and there are a few) are difficult to keep on top of, especially ...
