Well Victoria White is a humble singer/songwriter/guitarist born in New Jersey. Her songs are a blend of neo soul, jazz, rock, folk and R&B. Victoria White is the first artist to be signed to Maurice White’s Kalimba Music label. Maurice White famous for founding and fronting his band Earth, Wind & Fire is not related to Victoria. Victoria White was actually discovered by the group’s lead guitarist Sheldon Reynolds when he was on a music industry panel at a showcase. You won’t find any Victoria White videos on MTV and has not had much publicity yet since her first major release “The Upside”. On her website she is quoted saying, "In the end, what inspires me most is the possibility of reaching someone with my music…and I'm grateful now, for the chance to be heard", when asked what inspires her.

Once I started listening to the album I immediately fell in love with her voice. Her songs don’t rely on fancy hooks, distracting (loud to cover the singing) beats, but pure vocal talent. The lyrics are ‘down to earth’ and are sung with heartfelt emotion.
Best quality of the album: Brilliant vocals skills throughout
Worst quality of the album: Lengthy breaks during some songs where you think the song is finish because there no vocals but the song continues (pointlessly/boring).
Overall: 4/5
