Advantages: Superb flavours. Incredibly moreish Disadvantages: Not enough in the pack!
My discovery of these little gems was a few years ago, I have always enjoyed the odd chocolatey biscuit and decided to give these a whirl (no pun intended!)
Packaging
A nice big picture of what awaits you inside adorns the top of the packet. The Fox's logo is also there suggesting quality. Internally the biscuits are held in a plastic tray divided into sections, each of the 5 sections holding 2 biscuits.

I used to love Iced Gems as a kid and in a moment of nostalgia I bought a multi-pack of them in Tesco a few weeks ago.
The multi-pack contains 6 individual packets of Iced Gems, each containing 25g of goodness. The multipack cost a meagre Ł1.30. The packaging of the multi-pack is light blue and turquoise and has a picture of a cartoon polar bear. I guess they're aiming for the cute factor but I just felt that it looked a bit weird. As the saying goes 'don't judge a book by the cover' and the contents more than make up for the poor packaging. The individual packets have the exact same design.
For those not familiar with Iced Gems, it's a simple idea; a small biscuit topped with icing. There are different flavours and colours available; white, yellow, purple and pink. According to the packet, yellow is lemon flavoured, pink is raspberry ...
Advantages: Cheap, kid friendly, lovely flavours; low fat and calorie Disadvantages: not enough flavours; iced gems tend to fall off
These are my classic childhood biscuit snack; the kind of treat that made me smile when I opened my lunchbox at school. These certainly are a child friendly biscuit treat and are evidently marketed at children, but his didn?t stop me popping a multitask of 6 for Ł1 into my trolley at Asda. They are like the ?Haribo? of biscuits, in that kids and adults love them!
Jacobs Iced gems are basically small chunky digestive biscuit?s the size of a button, topped with a crunchy fruit flavoured icing blob. The icing blobs are evidently piped onto the biscuit and are shaped like little spider webs. Some are larger than others and some can be lopsided or tilted to one side of the biscuit. Certainly no precision in the manufacturing but then again?who cares! (they fall off anyway most the time!) The biscuit base is a light shade of brown ...
