This is a review of the beautiful score produced, composed and performed by Air. I've yet to see the film but the reviews I've seen state that it is haunting and elegiac. In that case I cannot imagine a better soundtrack. I would find it difficult to categorise the music. It has influences of classical/jazz/ambient pop. As unappealing as that may sound you have to listen to it to appreciate how well it gels together. "Playground Love" is the perfect example. I challenge you not to be moved by it or by "Highschool Lover". Ironically the most upbeat and ethereal track is "Dead Bodies" (!).
I have never recommended a musical score before but this soundtrack is something special I promise you!
On the downside it's only around 40 minutes and if you don't like Air you won't like this.

I loved the film, and I liked the score. Air also contributed on Lost In Translation (Alone in Kyoto) which was part of their Talkie Walkie album. If you haven't got that - then I highly recommend it (both the film and the album)
