Advantages: A wealth of things to do and see and spend your cash on Disadvantages: It can be seedy
...temperatures rapidly fell to around 2 to 3° C at night. So sweaters and jackets were required. During the day it was bright and it didn't really rain, we had one overcast day which dulled the photographs but on the whole the weather was fine. During the summer months though - expect to be baked - Vegas is set in the desert so expect desert temperatures and don't forget your sunscreen.
Hotel Accommodation
There is a level of accommodation for everyone in Vegas - from 6 star luxury of the Wynn Hotel - the most expensive hotel and opulent in the world to that of B&B and hostels. Our hotel was middle of the road - it had its own Casino which was well air conditioned so the smoking wasn't obvious, a smattering of diners and restaurants, a Starbucks, Theatres for shows, gift shops, a shopping level, and its main attraction - the Stratosphere...

Advantages: Totally out of this world experience, so much to see and do, great hotels and casinos Disadvantages: Sleazy in places, a few days isn't long enough to see it all
...& mix area is very popular and is usually very busy, whilst it is a nice idea to fill a bag full of different coloured M&M's it is expensive
On another floor there is a cinema where you can go and watch a film that has been specially created for M&M World and features the M&M men.
Finally on the fourth floor there is a cafe and an M&M racing car.
**THE COCA COLA SHOP**
Situated next door to M&M World is the Coca Cola Shop - here you will find a vast amount of Coca Cola logo items to purchase, including glasses, t-shirts, pens, pencils and even bottles of Coca Cola.

Advantages: Hot weather, tons of gambling, buffet Disadvantages: Hot weather, tons of gambling and people
...My husband and I decided to visit LasVegas the last time we were in the USA. It was late May. Our visit coincided with the long Memorial weekend. We rented a car from Hertz, and 2-night accommodations in Best Western Tuscany hotel in LasVegas.
As always, we visited the tourist information centre before we set off for the day. There, we found some interesting places to visit, maps to obtain etc. For a 3-day visit, we had a great time.
Native American Pow-Wow
First day out, we followed instructions provided by the guide at the tourist information centre to the closest Pow-Wow near LasVegas. It was a short drive into the wilderness. In the distance, we could just about see snow caps on the mountains. It felt rather strange to be driving in the hot sun and seeing the snow covered mountain.
