If you're looking for a different type of racing game, Re-volt might just interest you. Re-volt is based around remote control cars and the storyline (such as it is) goes that these cars have been made magical and are driving out of the toy shop and taking on a life of their own.
The game involves basic races around some oversized normal world environments such as a back garden, museum and supermarket. There are obstacles in each place that are representative of the area they are in, such as a wet floor in the supermarket and there are plenty of other racers to try to beat as you tear around the track.
The basic race option is fun and well put together, handling is spot on and makes you feel that you're controlling a radio controlled car rather than a real one. The courses are well thought out and great to drive around. But ...

Re-Volt is simply the best game on the Dreamcast at this time. This game is a pleasure to play, be it with friends or alone. The physics are spot on and the car models look great with their four wheel independant suspension. There is more then enough gameplay to keep the lone gamer going for quite a long while. You will be pulling your hair out trying to unlock all those cars, but you will be having a blast too. The multi-player is just superb....get a couple friends together and throw this game into the ole DC and brace yourself for one heck of a good time. My only complaint here is that after every race you are forced to go clear back to the opening screen to race again. This should have been fixed, but hey, nothings perfect, but this game truely comes closer then any other racer on the Dreamcast! Re-Volt has gameplay coming out ...
