Advantages: great fun, entertaining Disadvantages: not great with only two people, can get dead ends, quite big
In my opinion, this is the best family game of all the board games I've tried. This doesn't really count as a board game (see setting up) but it's that sort of style in that you roll dice, move around and have fun. It's quite complicated, so it can take a little while to get used to all the subtleties but it's well worth it.
It can be played by 2-4 people, but it's never as fun with just two. With more players, you can gang up on someone who looks like they're winning. I find with most games, they're better when more people are joining in. You can actually play Mystic Wood with five people, you'll just need to improvise about the fifth playing piece.

Advantages: An acting masterclass by the cream of the crop Disadvantages: Some ends left untied but this is also part of the fantastic unnerving feeling the film generates throughout.
Well?I?m only a year behind. Just as Clint Eastwood is placing his latest directorial offering at the altar of the award-giving gods, I have just got round to watching Mystic River his 2003 film that swept the board in the acting categories at last years Oscars and quite rightly to. This is one of the best recent films I have seen. As Eastwood himself comments in the DVD special feature documentary, Mystic River is not about special effects or an action-packed plot ? it?s about people, human interaction and tremendous acting.
Based on Neil Lehane?s novel, Mystic River is the story of three childhood friends Jimmy Markum, Dave Boyle and Sean Devine living in a fairly bleak Boston neighbourhood. The film starts with the boys as children larking about in the street. Jimmy is the most daring and talks the other two boys into signing ...
Advantages: Moody, mysterious and marvellous Disadvantages: None
and found that most of his performances were decidedly similar. He just doesn't seem to act, he is rather just showing the audience another facet of Clint Eastwood's very strong personality. Now that only goes for his acting. Don't hate me!! I don't know what it is but his performances just didn't touch me I suppose.
So there are my two reasons for wanting to hate Mystic River, first of all Sean Penn is the main male lead in the film and second, Clint Eastwood directed the film... only I was sort of intruiged and interested in seeing it, I wanted to see this Oscar winning performance of Sean Penn's and then I wanted to slate it!
But here I am, in all honesty and in all fairness, giving my full and honest opinion of the movie and I loved it.
I am not going to even begin to tell you the plot, well maybe a little... the film begins ...
