Album Reviews: Q (9/01, p.126) - 3 stars out of 5 - \"...Represents Abba's last burst of omnipotence...sealing its reputation as their disco album...\"
Advantages: Enduring Ablum Disadvantages: Couple of Weak tracks
...Another mega-selling album from the Scandinavian exports. The title track, Voulez-Vous, became a Top Ten hit single as part of a double A-side with Angeleyes, which is also included here. This album has to be one of ABBAs most polished albums in production terms as it was released at the height of Disco and it is given that sheen! That doesn't mean that this album is a lesser effort than their previous albums or that it sounds dated. A lot of the tracks still sound as
fresh today, As Good As New is one example. The highlight is If It Wasn't For The Nights which should have been a single. Most of the tracks sound good although the singles from this album didn't set the charts alight like previous efforts....

...Abba just got better and better and apart from their greatest hits album this is my favourite Abba album because Voulez-Vous is a fantastic song, a simple yet upbeat rhythm and tune which is extremely enjoyable to listen to. The other great songs on this album are chiquitta and Does your mother know which are timeless classic, Abba were the original pop group, many of the 90's pop groups were heavily influenced by Abba, their style. VoulezVous is an album no abba fan must miss, it is an essential Abba album and contains some of their biggest hits....

How many people haven't heard at lease half of those songs and could fail but to sing along with their own little rendition at a drunken karaoke night!
Dancing Queen
As possibly their best known song, this is the perfect introduction to the album. Its upbeat, dance inducing sound sets the mood for the rest of the CD. And even now, over 25 years later, this song is just as enchanting as when it was first released. This is evident by the number of cover versions of this song that have been released.
