The Album kicks off with the title track that has a frantic shrieking alto sax played by Sanborn which is introduced by a run on the piano by long serving Bowie sideman Mike Garson which is at the front of the sound with Latin flavoured percussion adding the rhythm section and Luther Vandross-leading the chorus, Bowie croons about everyday American life after Watergate. fantastic Review ofMaria Maria (Single)- Santana feat. The Product G&Bby
dcgirl2000
Advantages: fantastic Disadvantages:
...In my opinion this is one of the best songs on Santana's supernatural album. Produced by ex-fugee star Wyclef Jean, this single had all the makings to become a hit record and it has done. This is one of the songs on the album which has a more R'n'B flavour to it, but at the same time it still shows off Carlos Santana's amazing guitar skills. The vocals on this track are great as well. This is a smooth sounding summery song and is definitely worth spending a few minutes to listen to, I love it. This single is a must buy for any fan of Santana and hopefully will grab the attention of people who don't necessarily like Santana music but are fans of R'n'B. I think this track is definitely worth getting the album for....

After his work on this album Eno went on to record the African influenced albums "My Life in The Bush of Ghosts" with David Byrne and "Remain in light" with "The Talking Heads" (from little acorns).
Move On (3.21) if you listen closely to this track you will hear the song "All the young Dudes" all be it backwards.
This is the framework for Bowie to sing about...
