... I recently purchased their new album ‘Wait For Me’ and have to say I was very impressed as this album barely has any songs I can honestly say I skip. They had a top ten chart spot with this album and they have a unique sound with their vocals but it still has a very British sound without that ... Read review

I will just go through a few of the songs, one thing about this album which I did notice is that the songs are all roughly just over two minutes long with some being under two minutes which is very short.
1. ROMANTIC TYPE: This song starts off with a slow drum beat then the guitar kicks in and it is a very fast paced song. The vocals are sung in a very thick accent but I like this as it really ... ...part of the song as it is the catchiest part but for a single I can’t say this is one of my favourite songs. This song is quite hard to understand I’m thinking it’s about him saying that every once in a while both people in a relationship should take a turn instead of it always being the guy and also about her judging him when she doesn’t really know him as well a she thought.
2. I FOUNT OUT: This is one of my favourite songs off the album, I heard ...

Advantages: Every song could easily be a hit, Catchy melodies and memorable lyrics Disadvantages: Too short in length, the songs get stuck in your head.. could be annoying!
...be the last to leave... wait for me.... wait for me...' I heard that in my dreams, it just wouldn't leave me alone! In fact, I'd go as far to say that every single song on this album is catchy and no two songs sound the same. There are no tracks that are poor in quality, all are equally as good. The NME quotes 'The best 12 pop songs we've heard in ages. Result!' and I honestly have to agree. Despite it's length it is a quality album. Definitely worth ...

The Pigeon Detectives have been waiting to unleash this album on the globe, and rightly so. 'Wait For Me', released on label Dance To The Radio, clearly puts the five-piece on the map as more than just friends of the Kaiser Chiefs. Bubbly guitars, northern sung vocals, and an album full of indie pop, The Pigeon Detectives could have one of 2007's success stories under their belt.
Track one, the single that enhanced their fanbase ten fold, sounds ... ...course we must mention the sort after "1! 2! 3! 4!", which comes before a rocking guitar solo. This starts an underlying theme of love through the record.
The transition to track two 'I Found Out' was clever. Including moments of chanting through the backing vocals and clapping when the instruments take a well-deserved break for a few seconds, it's a short blast of power that continues throughout the rest of the track list. 'Don't Know How To Say ...

I first heard about the Pigeon Detectives from one of my friends, who lent me their album. I listened to it and fell in love with the upbeat indie tunes, and knew I HAD to get the album for myself. I'm always listening to it on my iPod - it's almost addictive.
