...Let's face it all girly girls love pink and all girls need straighteners! How did we live without them? Overall I have heard good things about the new GHD pinks. The high temperature can even tame my naturally curly hair which is fairly determined to stay curly! The new pinks give a smooth shiny finish without having to go over your hair numerous times until it's frazzled.GHD are definately the best but costly! You have to pay for quality though don't you? I have only heard one bad report from my friend whose new pinks blew up after 10 minutes but she does have a reputation for straightener serial killing. They may have survived all other tests but to win my absolute trust they first have tp pass the Jade test. Any straighteners that survive her will get top marks from me !... Read review

...Whilst wandering around our local branch of Tesco?s the other week I noticed a display of ?discount items? not to be confused with the Tesco Value or Tesco Market Value range. The discount range all have a small square flash on them in yellow with the words ?discount brands at Tesco? in red and a £ sign being cut with a pair of scissors. I suppose it is yet another ploy to help us save money or at least make us think that we are saving money ? or am I being a bit sceptical? The discount items were mainly in a range called Daisy which I hadn?t heard of before but I decided to try the washing up liquid. I purchased the concentrated washing up liquid with antibacterial action in the 500ml size which cost me 67p. ...Why, oh why, I ask myself, do good brand names play around with their products and end up making them worse, instead of better. It happened with Special K when they converted to bigger flakes instead of the tiny ones and the taste was ruined. Um! Sorry getting carried away on another topic. Well, what they have done to Persil washing up liquid is a similar thing. (No, they haven?t made it into flakes.) Something has happened to the formula. I used to use Persil for when I hand wash dishes but went over to Fairy. The other day I decided to go back because I spotted a beautifully, milky, pale green coloured aloe vera Persil liquid and I really quite fancied it. Anyway, I did my usual and just squirted the liquid into the wash up bowl, added hot water and started the job. There were a lot of bubbles for amount of the product I had used... Read review
