Advantages: Slick, interesting, beautifully-produced psychedelic pop
Disadvantages: The age and corny nature of the sound might put many off

more clinical and austere sounds, the gloopy strains of 60s psychedelia have always been available from my considerable secret tune-stash to warm my ears when said ears get too cold. I'm partial to all the trippy musical madness from the era, but my particular anoraky love is for American garage psychedelia circa 1965 to 68: from the wildly obscure, such as bands like the 13th Floor Elevators and the Electric Prunes; onwards to slicker and more commercially-successful outfits like the Blues Magoos and Spirit; and right through to shiny synthetic pop with a trippy twist such as was produced by the band here under review. Wake UP Wake UP!!!

Advantages: Central hostel
Disadvantages: Don't get much sleep

The Wake Up Hostel had been recommended to me by my friends at Gap Year.com. I booked my bed well in advance as I was spending my 2 weeks in Sydney over Christmas and New Year. I have to say I was very pleased with the price over this festive period as a lot of other hostels and accommodation decided to bump up prices and take advantage of the stranded unorganised backpackers. PRICES: 10 bed dorm $28 a night, 8 bed dorm $30 a night, 6 bed dorm $34 a night and 4 bed dorm $36 a night. ROOMS: I have to say my first impressions where not great, I walked into the room and gasped! Not an inch of floor space could be seen, I didn't even have room to put my bag down. Rubbish was everywhere, I suppose for 14 bed dorm it was to be expected but I have to admit it was quite a shock. I decided to go down to reception and say ...

A Lemon Wake Up Call

Advantages: Good value for money, foams up well
Disadvantages: Smell not as good as others in range

Recently when shopping for shower gels I saw that Tesco was doing an offer on Imperial Leather shower gels where you could get 4 for £3, they normally sell at £1 each so it?s a good offer. Never one to resist a bargain I choose four different varieties and have been slowly working my way through them. The current one in my bathroom is the Imperial Leather Wake Up Shower Gel. This is meant to be an invigorating scent to get you going in the morning and is Bitter Lemon and Ginger. The shower gel comes in a wavy clear bottle which allows you to see the lovely yellow shower gel and see when it is getting low. The bottle has a yellow flip open lid to easily dispense the shower gel and it holds 250ml. The gel has bitter lemon which they say is a fresh and zingy detoxifier enriched with Vitamin C. Not sure that any of that vitamin C ...
