This is a very good album. Aesthetically, the cover etc are very intresting artwork, the deadbat, is an impressive infusion of two very metally images. The lyrics are wrote nicely, and there is an impressive gothic style image almost, of a woman reaching up from the dead, with a hand of bones but rest a normal person...its hard to explain haha!
The album kicks off with "waking the fallen" a track to wet your appetite for whats about to come, with a very "chugga-chugga" guitar riff, that is pretty heavy, a brief, distorted and erie song!
Next is everyone's fave-the infectious "unholy confessions" with a very memorable and bouncy guitar line, the vocals a mix of awesome growls and M shadow's finest singing voice! The drumming may seem background to the brilliant guitar riff, but if you take a listen, its one of the best drumming riffs ever, with the young reverand behind the drums, he will grow up when he is 30 or to be one of the best drummers ever.
Number 3 -Chapter four is kicked off with an impressive drumming solo-a true spark of the reverands amazing talents! When you get into the verse you get an impressive over dubbing on the voice, one screamy, one singing, truly reflecting some beauty of the song unable to get with one voice. As we get into the chorus we get the maybe slightly over the top but catchy lyric "Ive come here to kill you/wont leave until you've died" As we get into soloing point, we realise this band is packed with talent, a string burning solo is great in this song
Number 4 Remenissions, starts with an impressive deep scream, and now we have got into the swing of things, the usual A7X quick guitars, pounding drums and echoing but indeed talented bass lines. In the middle even features and accoustic style part....very nice little addition, with M shadow's nice singing voice. A very varied, but well planned song
Desecrate through reverance slams into action with a slow but heavy guitar and drum intro, but soon kicks into the true A7X fashioned quickness and string melting riffage. Some nice screams from M shadows too here, and some impressive and effective backing vocals.
Eternal rest....wow! The Intro is a solo which is a mind bending mixture of notes, and keeps the beat throughout the song till a breakdown kinda place, when it gets into an almost bluesy beat, very orginal and nice to see. Then we get even some organ in the middle, with spine chilling lyrics "I hear them crying at night, outside where the planets are falling" Very erie
Second heartbeat is 7 minutes...and quite impressive, but as a mid point is often missed. The main guitar riff is very good, and last part and first part are the most impressive
Radiant eclipse is possibly one of the more tracks you skip...but does hold talents in guitar and drumming arrangements
Next two tracks is two parts...i wont see you tonight, envolves piano and tragic lyrics mixed with tear jerking lyrcis about suicide, second half less tragic and more heavy, both both need a good listen, cos they are awe-inspiring
Clairvoyant disease starts off pretty slow of pace, but very powerful, with quite unusual pounding bass beat, nice change, very good to hear! and gets more powerful as the song develops
And all things will end is the last track, in involves a lovely accoustic intro, into heavy beating guitar and drums...is a true genius way to finish the album off....leaves a brilliant last impression!
