I shouldn't have to write this opinion as you should all know that the Wall is one of the most original and controvertial albums ever released and as a consequence Pink Floyd's most famous...

The album was written almost five years before the film was released in 1982.

The music tells the story of a tortured soul, Pink and his battle with the out side world, being judged by his freinds and family, ultimately finishing with him going crazy, waiting for the worms.

A great selection of musical genre with every track being relevant to the story. The opening title of the film sums up the whole feels of the story, The Boy That Santa Claus Forgot.

When the film was made in 1982, Bob Geldof was casted in as the lead role.

The film and music over the years has created a lot of controversy. The BBC refusing to play Another Brick In The Wall over the radio because of its dark nature, the importance of the music when the Berlin Wall came down... the album is generally a muddle of feeling, darkness and rebellion.

Again, as classis Pink Floyd, some amazing art work in the film, most of this is animations by Gerald Scarfe. The Limted Edition CD includes a booklet full of selections of the art work from the film.

I ave recently purchased a cd entitled the Wall, the film, quite different to the usual album, the cd is a soundtrack of the actual film and has a couple of tracks not on the original recording such as When the Tigers Broke Free and The Boy That Santa Claus Fogot.

Truly both the album, artwork and album are timeless classics.
