Released on Epic Records in 2005, this quartet are, by first listen anyway, the nearest style the Americans have to a ?Brit-pop? band?but saying that means they are nothing like Oasis/Blur/Suede/Pulp/Supergrass etc. Instead they represent a slightly pessimistic view on life?the fact that Americans only sing about the bad times shows they are oh so miserable people!! I stayed at the Marriott Royal County recently.The hotel is very easy to find. Local shops are only a five minute walk away as are local pubs and restaurants. This hotel also makes a good choice. One problem you might find is trying to find a parking space. This is an ideal location from which to explore Durham. There is an indoor heated pool. The service in the hotel was first class. Not worth the 5 but a GOOD 4 star property. Marriott Canary Wharf

Advantages: Good location. Reputable brand. Delivers a good hotel experience

Needing a base for my Christmas shopping trip in December 2007 I was on the look out for a suitable London hotel. This was before I had discovered the InterContinental, which is now my preferred London property, so off I went online to find a suitable hotel. After much searching I found a good deal in Canary Wharf at the Marriott. I had never been to Canary Wharf before and was excited to stay somewhere different. The hotel had favourable rates compared to the city centre and the facilities looked good. After much surfing I decided on the Marriott for a weekend stay. Booking I booked the hotel online at Marriott.co.uk. I booked an executive room for £120 per night. This included breakfast and access to the club lounge.
