Wanna Be Loved - Glen Washington

Advantages: High-profile Akon, who alone is very talented
Disadvantages: Not sure why it took this to get Akon well-known

...Unusual to find a single track to review as opposed to an entire album, 'I Wanna Love You' is taken from Akon's second album, 'Konvicted'. The track is also included on the featured artists album, Snoop Dogg's 2006 album, 'The Blue Carpet Treatment'. 'I Wanna Love You' became Akon's first ever US Billboard number one, and Snoop Dogg's second of his long-serving career (his first being 'Drop It Like It's Hot' featuring Pharrell Williams). The track knocked Justin Timberlake down from the top-spot, before being replaced by Beyonce's 'Irreplaceable'. Many versions of the song circulate, including the adult edit, which features the word 'f***' in place of 'love'. Advantages: An intereresting STATE to be in.

...In 1990 I fell in love! corny? not really, I was in love with Washington State, and what a State to be in. Where do I start. In Seattle on the borders of Canada, or by the Columbia River Gorge, on the Borders of Oregon. Yes that is where my affair began. Portland in Oregan. From the Airport in Portland it is just a few minutes drive to Camas in Washington where I stayed with friends for a while. Camas is a really small town on the river, known for its logging, and Paper Factories. A very pretty little town, high above the river. with views of Portland on the other side, when at night the lights from this large modern town in Oregon twinkle in a dazzling display of stars hovering over the river, their reflection doubling the display as they bounced off the water.
