Advantages: Great piece of musicianship Disadvantages: what?
BACKGROUND
*******************
As Most of you probably know by now, I am a metalhead. I just love aggressive music, but most of all, bands showing great musicianship (as a guitarist myself). I bought countdown to extinction a long long time ago during a trip to Paris in the Virgin Megastore of the "Champ Elysees". I had the tape in my walkman long before then, so I can definitely say that this album followed me for many many years. I didn't know any other album of Megadeth until recently, when I decided to get them one by one.
MEGADETH, WHO THE HELL ARE THEY???
****************************************************
Megadeth is Dave Mustaine's baby. For those who don't know Dave Mustaine, he is one of the former guitarists of Metallica, but after being kicked out of the band because of his various addictions (booze, and various ...
Advantages: Have many albums and songs, good lyrics. Disadvantages: Arn't VERY heavy metal, but are easily making the grade to be classified into this genre.
music from a near-by keyboard. They have the volume and they have the riffs, they have the beat and the Bass. If you've never heard them and your stuck into metal this one's for you. But dont expect grumbling and yelling noises like that of Slipknot and the likes, because with this band you can actually identify whats being sung!
Some tracks I recommend:
-Losing My Senses
-Trust
-Duke Nukem Theme
-Symphony of Destruction (*Most Popular Track as far as I know)
-I'll Get Even
These tracks show the extents of music that megadeth do so most other tracks will be of a simular genre and beat between the mix of the tracks above. Thats why I chose these tracks.
I recommend MP3.com for samples of this band or you can visit their web site at www.megadeth.com for more information.

Advantages: Good solos, Mustaine's voice is as strong as ever. Disadvantages: Too many simple songs, overly political and religious lyrical content.
After several awards and some famous groundbreaking albums megadeths 11th studio album united abominations is released. After the impressive the system has failed, with technical riffs, and solos it would be hard to beat it in terms of quality and originality.
Stand Out Tracks for good and bad reasons:
Sleepwalker - a song where the vocals are the strong point, the riffs are simple but the lyrics are interesting, and its quite clear Mustaine's lyrical skills have improved as he has progressed with Megadeth. The song sleepwalker is a good opener and at almost 5 and half minutes it keeps the listener engaged with vocal layering, a catchy main riff with a memorable solo.
Washington is next - This is personally my favourite track off the megadeth album, where I feel Mustaine is most focused, the opening riff gets your attention ...

Anarchy In The U.K. Dave Mustaine, who broke down so candidly in Metallica's SOME KIND OF MONSTER documentary, has nothing to be ashamed of. Since his unceremonious boot from Metallica, he's been responsible for some of the most thrilling, adventurous metal in existence with his project Megadeth. With their first release, 1985's KILLING IS MY BUSINESS AND BUSINESS IS GOOD, Megadeth combined thrash metal heaviness with jazz-inspired improvisation to express Mustaine's singular take on heavy music, and they never looked back. WARCHEST isn't just the most comprehensive one-stop Megadeth collection; it also debuts a whopping 33 unreleased tracks, including an entire show from the band's 1990 peak. The first three discs feature scattered, thrilling tracks from Megadeth's studio albums interspersed with demos, live songs, and outtakes, including Megadeth standards like "The Skull Beneath the Skin" (from their debut), and "Symphony Of Destruction" (from their crossover smash COUNTDOWN TO EXTINCTION). It's a comprehensive overview of their remarkably consistent output and cynical anti-war political views, not to mention a clinic in colorful, imaginative metal. Disc four, however, is the real treat, presenting an entire 1990 show from England's Wembley Stadium featuring the band fresh off their creative apex, RUST IN PEACE. Altogether, it's over six hours of an exciting, intelligent band that has unfairly stood in the shadow of their leader's former group. With WARCHEST, Megadeth gets an overdue walk in the sun.
