...on punk ho's that
Think they run the game
But I learned to burn that bridge and delete
Those who compete at a level that's obsolete
Instead I warm my hands upon the flames of the flag
As I recall our downfall
And the business that burned us all
See through the news and the views that twist reality
Enough
I call the bluff
Manifest destiny
Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
Dispute the suits I ignite
And then watch 'em burn
With the thoughts from a militant mind
Hardline, hardline after hardline
Landlords and power whores
On my people they took turns
Dispute the suits I ignite
And then watch 'em burnBurn, burn, yes ya gonna burnBurn, burn, yes ya gonna burnBurn, burn, yes ya gonna burnBurn, burn, yes ya gonna burn
Yes ya gonna burn, burn, yes ya gonna burnBurn, burn, yes ya gonna burnBurn, burn, yes ya gonna burn...

Advantages: Involving, I think it's Stratovarius best album. Disadvantages: You have to like the genre
...'re able to create different kinds of songs, not only talking about music melodies, but also of the lyrics. I read some of them as romantic (Black Diamond, Before The Winter, Coming Home), but what really took my attention are tracks about environment problems, such as Paradise. Many rare species will perish soon and we'll be short on food.
Why do we have to be so selfish, we've got to change our attitude."
And there they continue with inviting everyone to save our world, to respect it.
All the pieces are long, they last at last 4.27, but none...

Advantages: Varied, great lyrics Disadvantages: Not recognised enough!
...theme, and there is such a mixture of styles on this album that there's always something for you to listen to every time you put it on, if not the whole album.
So what of the songs? Well there's the wonderful 'The Road To Hell', which has a one track intro of several minutes, which is great. As a change of pace, the last track is 'Tell Me There's A Heaven', which is a sweet track about a child asking if there really is a heaven, which also has dark undertones of the suffering in the world. There's the love ballad 'I Just Wanna Be With You' and the vision of perfection in a mad world in 'Texas'. Chris' gravely tones add a subtle quality to the music, and altogether it's very enjoyable.
The Road To Hell is an excellent album, for both fans and new listeners alike. It may sound cliched, but it's true – I can't recommend this enough...
