The suprising element in this album is the song that features Elton John!, yep you heard right...i wouldnt consider elton to be producing the same style of music as Ray Charles...But however the track does actually work suprisingly well, the song is "Sorry Seems to Be the Hardest Word", reminding those those who forgot how soulful elton is, or can be. The impressive Natalie Cole also stars along side ray charles in "Fever". This is a bit of a faster paste jazzy track. Nelson and Ray on Sinatra's "It Was a Very Good Year," also a great recreation, great vocal arrangment...a great song. This song really makes your heart stop for a second!. ...much…I don't know why but this song when I listen it gives me the impression that Ray was an opportunist and he was taking advantages from the woman he says it is his "baby"…Maybe I get it wrong, but what can I say it is the way I understand it…8/10 (2:54) 7) "A fool for you" - gives me spine-chilling…the pathos that gets out from the notes of this song makes you believe that Ray Charles has the heart broken. This song was for a long time in the peak of the R&B top in 1955; I can say that "the dance of his finger" on the piano keys gave this song the "perfect perfume" to wear when your heart is broken. ...song it is. Again though, it unfortunately is not as good as the beginning as the album, though still worth a listen. Jolene The stand out song of the album. Piano and guitar combine at the beginning. A weird little rhythm begins with the two of them when Ray's voice starts. Beautiful lyrics. Beautiful voice. Beautiful song. I remember when I first heard this on the way from work in the car. I had to pull over so I could appreciate it fully without the big diesel engine taking up vital sound energy. I just sat there and looked straight head across the fields and took it all in. I'm still not sure I have. Even listening to it now I still don't feel I want it to end. Needless to say, the second I got home that night I ordered the album, and hence this review. All The Wild Horses Ray slows it down for the last song. I have to say... Read review
