We Are The Dynamite was released in October 2007 and i was blown away it has just 11 tracks but its catchy lyrics and excellent guitar riffs and just damn loud drums made it catch on like a storm. Only 2 singles have been released from this album since its release, although in my opinion there could have been many more.

11. Life & Death In Space
As far as i am concerned the album finished with the 10th track i never really 'got' this one, it doesnt really fit and to me it just ruins a very fast paced exciting album and reminds you far too quickly its ending. not recommended.

I first came across the blackout a long while ago, through a friend. I loved them from the word go and after first buying the previous album ''The Blackout! The Blackout! The Blackout!'' in early 2007 i was hooked quite quickly on this album and i wasn't dissapointed when they released this album ''We are the Dynamite'' in late 2007. The band are from Merthyr tydfil in south wales, and have 6 members;
Sean Smith-Vocals Gavin Butler-Vocals Matthew Davies-Guitar James Davies-Guitar Rhys Lewis-Bass Gareth Lawrence-Drums
This often unlikely layout of two singers is what i think makes the band so appealing both on CD and Live, it brings another dynamic that some similar bands could benefit from.

Guest vocals from Ian Watkins (lostprophets) on Track 8 ''It's High Tide Baby'' is possibly the main reason that it is one of the more popular songs on the album although in my opinion it is by far not the best...
Tracklist: 1. Tick Tick Boom! The start to most of their live shows this is how the album kicks off, the sound increases steadily and includes just 4 words: ''we are the dynamite'' it has become the chant for all fans, and although it could quite easily annoy just builds anticipation for the next 10 tracks.
2. I've Got Better Things To Do Tonight Than Die Sticking to the theme of the first track of Dynamite this song continues the album with fantastically catchy lyrics that will have you singing along in no time at all! ''We are the dynamite, demolitions our religeon, so light the fuse''
3. I Know You Are, But What Am I? only one line to describe this song, and youll be addicted and dancing in no time at all; ''I wanna taste those lips, Why don’t you shake those hips? ''
4. Spread Legs Not Lies A very interesting title that can be seen on a few of the bands t-shirts, but not one you would say, wear to go and see your nan,,, The punchy guitars in the opening set the pace for a manic mosh fest of a song, that just doesnt let up.. ''close your eyes and swallow''
5. The Beijing Cocktail- The first single released in september 2007, one of my least favourite songs on the album but still not really a dull point for many, the lyrics remain catchy, the guitars still strong i just never really caught on to this one as much as the rest of the album.
6. Murder In The Make-Believe Ballroom For me one of my favourites, although not as fast as some of the other tracks or as loud, the fantastic mixture of Gavin and Seans singing and seans occasional scream works really well, the ending to the song which is almost all screaming although not for all, it really appeals to me and something i think they should do more of especially when contrasted with the singing...
7. Prepare For A Wound ..or prepare for a very good song:) the drums in this although nothing special drive the song more than any other on the album, mixed with the ever consistent vocals and guitars it just WORKS. by far better live though, a definate recommendation even if you dont get the album, get this track.
8. It's High Tide Baby (feat. Ian Watkins) Very Popular, with the very recognisable vocal extra from Ian Watkins half way through it is what most people recognise them for although a lot slower and less punchy than the rest of the album its still very interesting and well i wouldnt steer anyone away from it, in the album it gives you a bit of a rest in time for the last 3 tracks but without really going too far away from the general sound of the album. ''Is this worth fighting for? Are you worth fighting for? As I face the crowd and take a bow'' HIGHLY reccommended for first time listeners of the band.
9. Tops Off Party! quite simple lyrics, become catchier quicker which is a godsend for this album, yet another song which catches like the plague.
10. She Is Macho the second to last track doesnt let up on the pace, consistent from the beginning everything remains the same, and although with some albums this is what can make them awful, for ...Dynamite its what makes it. ''We hunt in a pack, As we roam the street , And we’ll attack, In a heart beat''
11. Life & Death In Space As far as i am concerned the album finished with the 10th track i never really 'got' this one, it doesnt really fit and to me it just ruins a very fast paced exciting album and reminds you far too quickly its ending. not recommended.
value for money this is an absolute steal, at usually round £7 its well worth it, and even cheaper to download so no excuses! :)
This album as fantastic as it is, is still relatively unheard of... for now. The band are about to explode with their second full length album that is set to be massive, so buy this now and get in on the Band before you have to pay £30 to go see them ( i only paid £8 last week )...:)
overall..fantastic, with one bad-ish song at the end...well worth the money, although they are much better live i recommend to all.
