... So, what's the album like? Well, there's two different editions of the album – the standard one disc edition, with 18 tracks on it, or the 15 track limited edition with a bonus CD with 8 more tracks on it – the version I have. There is actually less difference between the two ... Read review

Faithful to the end
Review of We Care A Lot - Faith No More by Excelle

Advantages: Great tracks, great musicians, different
Disadvantages: Couple of tracks missing, with some that could be replaced

...released on albums. - We Care A Lot (Original Version) This was the title track of the first FNM album, and is a clever mix of choral effects and guitar. This was recorded when Faith No More had their first singer, in the pre-Patton era, with slightly less mad Chuck Mosely. It's a good track, not one of the best, but a good way to start the album. - Introduce Yourself Wisely choosing to avoid the rest of the tracks on 'We Care A Lot' – ...
...- Midlife Crisis Now we come to the tracks from the 'Angel Dust' album – acclaimed by some to be their best. Personally, I prefer the 'King For A Day – Fool For A Lifetime' album, but that's just me! Midlife Crisis is quite weird for what it is – the verses are a kind of stream of guttural rapping, while the choruses break into the singing we're used to. The guitar pieces in this are wonderful, and unmistakable. - A Small Victory ... Read review

Do You Care a Lot? - Who Cares a Lot?
Review of We Care A Lot - Faith No More by Manx

Advantages: Faith No More
Disadvantages: There are better albums by Faith No More

...No More is great, great! We now have to admit that inside the scale of greatness there will be better albums and then the less great albums. Who Cares a Lot falls into the less great albums. The title track is, without doubt, the best piece of music on the disk and there is no need to stop the machine once it moves on. The real problem with Who Cares a Lot is that if you have it in your collection then you are bound to have other Faith No More cds ... Read review

You Do Not Get Dental Coverage With This CD
Review of Grosse Pointe Blank - Original Soundtrack by  Entwife

Advantages: Some great eighties tunes that you won't hear on the radio all in one CD.
Disadvantages: No A-ha, no Nena, but it's still addictive!

...on the jacket. There is simply the 13 track playlist, a generous paragraph of those who are given Special Thanks, and oddly enough a separate list of those John wanted to thank specifically. Here’s the line up of tunes they have resurrected from the depths of the odd 80’s musical explosion. 1. Blister in the Sun by the Violent Femmes 2. Rudie Can’t Fail by The Clash 3. Mirror in the Bathroom by The English Beat 4. Under Pressure by David Bowie and Queen 5. I Can See Clearly Now by Johnny Nash 6. Live and Let Die the remake by Guns N’ Roses 7. We Care a Lot by Faith No More 8. Pressure Drop by The Specials 9. Absolute Beginners by The Jam 10. Armagideon Time by The Clash 11. El Matador by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs 12. A large victory
Review of This Is It (The Best Of Faith No More) - Faith No More by  tonguelessghostofsin

Advantages: Summation of hits from greatest band ever!
Disadvantages: Too much eighties stuff, not enough modern

...Records, and released the album; 'We care a lot', which included Chuck Moseley, raging, irresponsible drunk with slurred, punky vocals, and legendary hillbilly guitarist 'Big Sick Ugly' Jim Martin, he of the red glasses, big hair and beard, although he was clean-shaven back then. The album included 'Arabian Disco', and the original, slower version of 'We care a lot', with some duff lyrics. Word spread like wildfire about this exciting new band, with the sheen of keyboards offsetting glistening metallic guitar. Faith No More were signed up by Slash records for the follow-up, 'Introduce Yourself', a much more polished and cohesive album, although Chuck's voice was as punky and abrasive as ever. The album scored a massive hit with the new-improved version of 'We care a lot', and also included 'Anne's Song' and 'Introduce Yourself'. But problems... Read review

We care a lot!
Review of Platinum Collection, The - Faith No More by  pimpmasta_ste

Advantages: Plenty of tracks, good value for money
Disadvantages: None

...Now Faith No More is a band which needs no introduction. Fronted by Mike patton, this band is definitely a defining genre of their time. This is an essential album to own if you are a Faith No More fan. And a great 1st album to by if you only know a song or two. With the classics; "We care a lot" "Epic" "Annes song" etc. And features two blazing covers, one in the form of Lionel Richie's and The Commodore's classic "Easy" and the other is a cover of "I started a joke" as made famous by The BeeGees. If you like Red Hot Chili Pepper's early albums then this will definitely to be your liking. A true great band, these guys were masters at changing the tempo, from heavy whining guitars, to lulling bass and enchanting keyboards to lip melting solos! all in one great album. Buy this album and complete your collection, or find out what you have... Read review

Additional notes

Album Notes: With airy keyboards, elastic bass lines, tribal drumming, heavy metal guitar riffing, and singing that dipped in and out of key, Faith No More's first album, WE CARE ALOT, was unleashed on an unsuspecting world in 1985. It was virtually unheard of for an alternative band (or back then, \"college radio band\") to produce such an original sound.
