Album Notes: On its second album, 2007's WE PRAISE YOU, the McClurkin Project, led by contemporary-gospel superstar Donnie McClurkin, offers up a lively set of R&B/soul-tinged songs of faith. Featuring a number of McClurkin's sisters, including Olivia McClurkin, the vocal ensemble shines on upbeat tracks such as the joyous \"As Long As You're There\" and the reassuring \"You'll Be Fine.\"
...guess the Blood Medley, Agnus Dei, and Total Priase, with Richard Smallwood, stand out.
I also recommend "Again...........", the version of "The Prayer" he does with Yolanda Adams has been played so many times I am sure I will wear it out!
If you have not heard Donnie McClurkin give him a go. This is probably not an album for the secular listener, becuase it is hymns and praise/worship songs, but it is so good, it seems a shame that it is only heard by a Christian audience.
And finally, if you can get hold of a copy (it is now out of print) try to read his autobiography "Eternal Victim Eternal Survivor", it is probably only when you hear of the sexual abuse that Donnie went through as a child, the tragedies (he saw his little brother killed by a car when he should have been watching over him), the confusion (his time...

...PROMOTION
I'm sorry I got it in for your girlfriend
America has always been about living the dream, apparently. One artist who certainly is living that American dream right now is, The-Dream, who you have probably heard me mentioning a lot lately. That's because this guy, born Terius Nash, has been garnering the reputation of Timbaland for his production and praise for writing like Ne-Yo. Whilst he has been around for a while, writing the Britney Spears and Madonna collaboration, 'Me Against The Music' -- The-Dream has worked with artists on more recent projects including; Mariah Carey's request to 'Touch My Body' and Usher 'Moving Mountains'.
When recently promoting his aspirations to be a recognised solo artist on the BET channel, The-Dream also advised we watch out for Ciara's upcoming project where he has worked...

Advantages: Good Collection of dance tracks Disadvantages: Too many Overlaps from the Hed Kandi label
...there and is a classic dance track although possibly one of the weakest on the compilation it is still better than a lot of tracks on the HK World Series Vol One compilation. Dannii Minogue & The Soul Seekerz also appear on the Tokyo Project with the track Perfection. I Just Can't Get Enough by Herd & Fitz featuring Abigail Bailey also sounds familiar, but as I don't have it on any other compilations, I think it is because it has crossed over commercially as it is a very upbeat track with a good dance beat to it with strong vocals. Soul Central's Strings of Life also makes an appearance (duplicated from HK Winter 2004, triplicated if you count the vocal version of Disco Heaven 01.05) with its fast, jazzy, piano led beat, with soaring string instruments over it. Most Precious Love by Blaze Presents Uda featuring Barbara Tucker had a big gospel choir...
