Advantages: Well-crafted songs telling poignant tales; great musicianship; evocative pedal steel Disadvantages: None to speak of
"Post to Wire" is RichmondFontaine's fifth studio album and the one that really turned me onto the band. Previously the Portland-based quartet were associated with dark, brooding lyrics and a much blacker feel, but "Post to Wire" really highlights not just the band's ability to compose across genres but the strengths of songwriter and frontman, Willy Vlautin, in creating vivid snapshots of the contemporary west.
Labelled "Americana" or "alt-country" by a music press that always feels the need to pigeonhole, the band have developed the genre, and cemented their position in it, where the likes of Uncle Tupelo or Wilco left off. By more use of the pedal steel, the band has taken more of a country direction but Vlautin's stories of people living ordinary lives on the margins of society have ensured the band stay firmly ...
Advantages: Sturdy unlike some of the small speaker systems Disadvantages: none
I purchased the Bose SoundDock a few years ago to take my Ipod classic, it does however take all types of ipod. I think the quality of the sound is excellent & the speaker is so easy touse. After I had purchased the speaker system they brought out a battery one, this would have been even more value for money in my opinion as it would be easier to transport to the garden etc. The only buttons on the system are the volume + & - , I think this is adequate as the treble/bass etc can be controlled via the ipod itself. I don't very often use the remote but this is small & compact. I have had many great parties using this speaker & totally recommend it. In future I will always buy Bose. ...
Advantages: Great for familly and anyone wishing to get healthy and enjoy sport Disadvantages: Too far for me to go
we contented ourselves with having a closer look at the reception and the outside; we then nipped across the road to the curling club for a lovely lunch which was reasonably priced and we would highly recommend the food and service. We could not use the facilities inside as we were not members so this seemed a good alternative.
The first thing you notice from the outside is the curved roof and the big blue front that is like a semi circle shape, with the Olympic circles on the front and the name Richmond Olympic Oval in white going across the middle of the blue. Everywhere looked bright, clean and fresh, untainted by the weather and the constant usage; one thing I found about Canada was how clean it was, people don?t seem to discard there rubbish on the floor, they seem to take pride in their country. There were clean white steps ...

Album Notes
'We Used To Think The Freeway Sounded Like A River' is the eighth album from acclaimed Oregon act Richmond Fontaine. Produced once again by JD Foster (Calexico, Nancy Sinatra) the album sees Willy Vlautin's lyrical tales of the desperate lives of ordinary people backed by the band's trademark alt-country sound. While there's a literary quality to the writing here, the songs are interspersed with sympathetic instrumental passages. The single 'You Can Move Back Here' is also included.
